Looking for a budget-friendly, cozy accommodation for your stay in Osaka? I got you! Get to know "The Stay Osaka", a place you will love, for sure!

After almost four weeks of traveling, I have become a bit cautious and picky when it comes to my accommodation. What do I mean by this? Well, apart from the fact that you will need to share your room with several people (unless you book a private room, of course), there are huge differences in the set-up of bunk beds, available spaces to store and open (!) your luggage in, kitchens and shared open spaces to jointly use and lavatories, who might differ in the matter of hygiene, size and products to use.

The Stay Osaka: a hostel of positive surprise!

As for Osaka, I had spontaneously booked a hostel, from which I was not convinced in the beginning by the pure impressions of pictures I had seen online. However, price-wise, this stay seemed like a good fit. And I did have the option to book a "women only" room, which I liked (less chances of snoring, you know...). Without any expectation I walked into the entrance doors and took the elevator to the second floor. Once the elevator doors opened, I was directly positively impressed by the warm-lighted and beautiful reception hall staring back at me. Next to it, a spacious dining and resting area, cozy with several tables, book shelves and a sofa, equipped with power plugs everywhere and a big kitchen to cook in. On top of it: all very clean and neat & super friendly staff! It is very rare that a hostel impresses me at first sight, but let me tell you, this one did!

Check-in times, Premises & Hostel Services

Check-in is from 4pm onwards. Once you get your room and bed assigned, you receive a

free towel and can additionally equip yourself with ear plugs, a tooth brush, a razor and slippers (all free). Laundry rooms (200yen for washing, 100yen for drying) are provided on the exact same level as reception, just like toilets (heated seats included ;)). Throughout your stay, the cleaning staff will clean your bed once, meaning you will receive fresh sheets to put onto your bed. You can choose the desired date at check-in.

Each floor provides shower and lavatories with hair dryers, shampoo, body wash and hair conditioning.

The dormitories are spacious and hold cabins with a huge safety deposit box, reading lights, curtains and a cozy mattress to sleep in. The women's dormitory also provides a mirror with additional seats for make-up and hair. Shoes need to be taken off prior to entering the room.

Location & Surroundings

Also from a location point of view, The Stay Osaka is a true juwel. Less than 15min. by foot from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi & Tombori River Walk, 2,6km from Shinsekai & 3,1km from Osaka Castle (both easily reachable via public transport). The Hozen-ji Temple is also around the corner (15min. by foot).

The closest station is "Nagahoribashi Station": 3min. by foot

Price-friendly, spacious, clean, welcoming and centrally located- what are you waiting for?

I had a blast staying in this hostel, getting to know new people whilst also having the chance to work quietly in the spacious resting area on the second floor. Everyone is welcoming and supportive whenever you need a hand. Therefore, if you are looking for a place to stay in Osaka, "The Stay" will not disappoint you! Let me know whether you will give it a shot!
