Revealing authentic traveling. Rethinking culture.
Experiencing Intercultures: Asia
A blog on Asia. A matter of heart.
For years, Asia has caught my attention and fascination, whether we speak about people, culture, cultural heritage, history, arts & architecture. With this blog, I want to share my experiences, learnings and insights with others to not only embrace a glimpse of culturally-enriched local- and regional contexts, but to also uncover- and verify one's own assumptions and possibly hidden unconscious biases slumbering beneath the surface.
Get to know my mission and vision below.

Mission
Experiencing Intercultures with a focus on Asia aims to holistically share travel-related information and cultural insights to best-prepare, reveal, acknowledge and learn about the multi-perspective-facets of Asia from an authentic, experienced-based, point of view.
Through interactive platform possibilities, both (solo) travellers and interested readers are encouraged to actively contribute to topics and blog entries to jointly shape a new understanding of "Asian culture", moving away from static, homogeneous cultural constructs towards a fluid and dynamic cohesive process of stakeholders.
Vision
The vision for my readers is to establish a new mindset by rethinking and redefining the conventional concept of culture towards Asia. By this I mean breaking down stereotyped container-thinking and understanding culture as an expanded, open and multi-valued process that is constantly evolving through heterogeneity, dynamism and global/local networking in a dynamic of reciprocity.
By sharing detailed travel-preparation tipps, likewise insights on sightseeing, cultural diversity, heritage, traditions and herewith connected behavioural patterns and cultural practices, readers are invited to self-evaluate their own cultural perception, enabling both cognitive knowledge & enhanced cultural awareness towards a network-oriented way of thinking that connects culture & identity to several collectives.
